The legendary bassist Eddie Gomez played with Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Evans, Gerry Mulligan, Benny Goodman, Chick Corea and many more artists. My Berklee flute teacher, Matt Marvuglio, is currently a member of his quintet and he offered me the opportunity to have a private lesson with Eddie. It was an unbelievable experience for me. I went to a professional recording studio with Geoff and his band to record their new songs. We played for four songs and I improvised on one of them. I like working in studios because in one day you play a lot and hear back everything you did for the track. This allows you to learn and grow as a musician.
